I buy her roses every week, because I didn’t when she was with me. I give them to her, but she cannot thank me. I cry on they way, because I didn’t when she was with me. I smile sometimes when I think of you, because I always did when you were with me.
I am not used to saying “I” as it became “We” during our time together. On your last day in the hospital when I knew that there was little chance, I sat next to you and held your hand all night. I do not know if you could feel my hand but I would like to think you did. When it came time, I did not leave your side. I held your hand with a heavy heart. I did not let you go through this alone. I know that I am truly not alone either. My days are not all sad, as I smile when I remember the good times we had. I love you Sheri, now and forever.

I added the first and only painting Sheri made. She had wanted to paint for years, in December 2008 she made her first and last picture. Sadly I am afraid that it is not in my possession.

Two more clips added. I have started to do some mulching in the pool landscape. It is hard to do alone, but I cannot let things go. She would not want that.

I added 1 new clip tonight. I am getting ready to build a small memorial by the pool for Sheri.

Today when I came home from work I went outside to our pool area for the first time since Sheri passed away. I started to remove weeds from the landscaping. I know it had to be started soon, but I never did this without Sheri. It was O.K. I felt like I was doing what she would want me to do. I was keeping busy and doing what was needed. It gave me the strength to remove Sheri’s purse from our bedroom, and to take her nail polish and lotion (I used the lotion to rub her feet about every night) from under our coffee table.
I want memories, but I do know that some reminders are triggers of emotion that is making it hard to deal with. Pictures are good, but an unused tooth brush is just painful to see every day. So I am slowly putting away the reminders.
It is hard, but it is necessary. I will add more photos and videos soon.

04/18/2009: Today is our anniversary, it would have been the 17th for us. I will go to her grave for the first time since the funeral, today. She should not be alone today. I miss Sheri. I added 2 more clips of her.... they are good clips.......
